Muay Thai or Thai boxing is a combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This discipline is known as the "art of eight limbs" as it is characterised by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins.
Muay Thai became widespread internationally in the late 20th to 21st century, when westernised practitioners from Thailand began competing in kickboxing, mixed rules matches, as well as matches under Muay Thai rules around the world. The devastating strikes of Muay Thai are a perfect fit for MMA.

Muay Thai at The Fighting Arts Academy is inspired by the style of MUAY FEMUR
Muay Femur fighters are known for their smarts. Their fight IQ tends to be relatively high, and they utilize their intelligence to fight smarter, not harder. This type of fighter tends to pick their shots wisely.
Our coaches have been taught directly by the likes of Yoddecha Sityodtong (Multi-time World Champion, Lumpinee Champion & Kings Cup Winner) and Samart Payakaroon (who is considered one of the greatest fighters in the history of the sport.). Some of our coaches have experience helping pros prepare for the highest levels of competition (such as ONE Championship).
We feel incredibly lucky to have a variety of amazing striking coaches teaching at The Fighting Arts Academy.
Affan, Juria, Kris, Sam, Lui, Darius... We have had a whole host of striking coaches lead our striking over the years. From MMA Veterans to Boxers from Sanshou fighters to Muay Thai competitors (and even multi time world champions) - we are committed to bringing the highest levels of striking coaching to our students… We are well connected on the competition circuit and are always keen to support upcoming fighters from the academy.
Our current Muay Thai curriculum is being led by Affan - an incredible coach. All coaches are incredibly humble and welcoming.
